Client Service rep, COBRA - 10-2012-cBFSA

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The primary role of the COBRA Client Service Representative is to ensure ongoing compliance of all COBRA regulations. Lead in the implementation, daily administration and renewal process in order to significantly impact client satisfaction and retention.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Work with the Producers, Account Managers and Team Leaders to develop and maintain courteous and effective working relationships with clients
  • Provide consulting services to clients by conducting client meetings and presentations
  • Provide advice and recommendations to clients regarding COBRA compliance related issues as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Respond timely and effectively to any client inquiries, complaints or concerns
  • Develop and implement solutions to client issues such as late notifications, open enrollment materials, and appeals
  • Ensure that all COBRA related client data is processed correctly in all Trion systems and is kept up-to date; update information with vendor carriers, as required
  • Perform or assist in performing the review open enrollment materials for COBRA clients.
  •  Including applications, election forms and employer and employee plan information
  • Review/revise plan materials and communicate plan updates and changes to clients and their employees
  • Assist in developing and providing training on COBRA related procedures, deliver training to clients as required
  • Collect all information and coordinate all activities required to properly implement and service new business
  •  Perform additional tasks and special projects, as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
  • Service experience in Benefits Brokerage/Insurance industry in a client facing role.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service and maintain positive relationships with client contacts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word (basic), Excel (intermediate) and Power Point (intermediate)
  • Proficiency in use of PC such as keyboard skills and electronic folder/file organization and management
  • Aptitude for learning internal systems, applications and internal work flow of the department
  • Must be able to effectively interact and deal with people at all levels inside and outside of the company

WORK LOCATION AND HOURS

  • Work is typically performed either on site at Trion’s King of Prussia office, or at various customer locations as required.
  • Must be able to work additional hours during peak periods.
