Commercial Brokerage Manager

Trion, a premier Employee Benefit Consulting Firm, is launching a Property Casualty Brokerage operation. We are looking for world class insurance professionals to join this dynamic organization in key “ground floor“ positions.

BRIEF POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Manage all aspects of the commercial division. Direct reports include the Account Executives, Account Managers, and other support staff. This person will also have major account responsibilities as a senior account executive, account team leader, and support producers on new business as a lead technical resource.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Management of account teams
• Supports producers on prospect qualification and new client development
• Helps develop RFPs from prospects/suspects and participate as a key member of the sales team
• Senior account executive on designated accounts
• Manage risk assessment, risk management, and program development for new business opportunities
• Manage achievement of client stewardship commitment’s
• Manage process to round accounts
• Manage commission and fee income in line with target profit margins
• Develops and manage standardized operating process and procedures
• Manage quality control and risk manage E+O exposures
• Manage carrier relationships
• Maintains intelligence of the insurance market
• Lead the process to create new products and risk management practices

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 15 years experience in insurance brokerage
• College education
• Excellent analytical and math skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Skill and experience as a leader
• Strong risk assessment and management skills
• Track record of achievement in a collaborative environment
• Experience in start-up operation
• Knowledge and experience in creating standardized process and procedures
• Licensed in Property/Casualty

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The work is typically performed in a normal office environment, either on site at Trion, or at various customer locations.
