Incumbents focus on originating new client relationships and/or on expanding and retaining existing relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work closely with the New Business Development Rep. to develop and manage the sales strategy and approach in order to generate new business in targeted market sectors
- Review research performed by the New Business Development Rep. position to further qualify a potential opportunity
- Uncover new sales opportunities by networking to increase contacts; prioritizing prospects and remaining cognizant of market changing conditions
- Support Trion’s Marketing Department with trade show, event activities and targeted marketing campaigns
- Follow-up on marketing activity leads in order to generate further customer interest, and qualify potential sales opportunities
- Participate in regular sales meetings to review sales perf. against objectives and targets
- Prepare proposals, contracts and/or other sales-related documentation
- Track and provide reporting for Trion management detailing call activity, pipeline updates and lead generation results
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Track history of successful sales experience; Typically, over two years of insurance brokerage sales experience
- Seasoned Producer capable of operating independently
- Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision
- Ability to lead and work as part of a team
- 4+ years of experience selling professional services and/or solution selling
- 4+ years of B2B sales and outbound telesales experience, preferably in the financial services or management consulting industries
- Aptitude for, or demonstrated working knowledge of sales force automation technologies and/or experience applying these technologies in the sales process
- Outstanding and effective telephone skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities
- Strong written, verbal and listening skills
- Strong creative problem-solving and analytical skills
