Benefits Administration Project Manager

Status: Full-time, Exempt
As a member of the Outsourcing Team, the Project Manager is responsible for the successful management of client Health & Welfare benefit implementations & renewals, ongoing administration and special projects. The Project Manager will develop plans outlining tasks, resources and timelines, coordinate team resources to meet project milestones and report status to the Outsourcing Team Manager.Â
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Establish and cultivate relationship with clients, vendors, carriers and internal departments to ensure successful implementations, renewals and ongoing administration
- Manage technical and administrative tasks for multiple client projects
- Summarize and report project status to Outsourcing Team Manager
- Assess & leverage risk and develop contingency plans if needed
- Document plan requirements and coordinate the development of processes & procedures
- Coordinate and execute testing of project deliverables
- Monitor timely and accurate completion of ongoing client deliverables
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures for assigned clients
- Responsible for communicating meeting notes
- Responsible for maintaining issues logs
- Lead and manage regularly scheduled internal and external client meetings
- Coach and mentor team members
- Serve as backup to Outsourcing Team Manager when needed
- Assist with special projects as determined by Outsourcing Team Manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree and/or related project management experience Â
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with business requirements gathering, definition and documentation techniques
- Disciplined in summarizing and reporting status/results regularly
- Proactive, creative problem solver with strong analytical skills
- Experience in working collaboratively and building teams
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent follow through and detail orientation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Excellent judgment dealing with sensitive issues
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite
- MS Project a plus
- Health and Welfare benefits knowledge a plus
