King of Prussia, Pa. - January 31, 2008 - Trion, the nation’s second-largest firm specializing solely in employee benefits consulting, brokerage and plan administration, announced that it has opened a new office in Charlotte, N.C.
This latest office opening closely follows Trion’s acquisition of Greensboro-based Benefits Group, bringing the number of Trion’s offices in the Southeast to three and its total number of nationwide offices to 12.
“The southeastern U.S. is experiencing a period of significant corporate growth, and there is a big demand for Trion’s services,” said Ed Garno III, Trion principal. “This new location will help us give our existing customers in the region localized service and more efficiently meet the region’s evolving business needs.”
Trion will offer its full line of services from its new Charlotte office, including health and welfare consulting, disability and life insurance programs, benefits administration, integrated health and productivity management, and voluntary benefits. The office, which will be overseen by practice leader Steve Cherok, is expected to create 25 new jobs in the region by 2010.
